President's Welcome Message
Welcome to the website for the Miami-Dade
Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Our
officers, board members, and committee chairs strive to offer you a
variety of programs and services to enhance your professional and
technical development and to provide the opportunity to interact
professionally and socially with your colleagues.
As a member of the
Miami-Dade Branch you are also able to take advantage of the programs
and services of the Florida Section (www.fla-asce.org)
and our national organization (www.asce.org).
We want to hear your ideas for Branch activities and are always
looking for volunteers to help, plan, and implement these activities.

Due to road closures see our NEW Directions from the Palmetto (Hwy 826):
- Exit
and go west on NW 36th St.
-Turn South onto NW 87th Ave
-Turn West onto NW 33rd St. and drive 0.8 miles. (They are
doing construction on NW 33rd St and it may have a "Road Closed"
sign, but if you want to get to the site, you will have to continue
past that sign.
-The project will be on the north side of NW 33rd St. (It is NOT
the first "Southern Command" building you will see. The first
building is the old headquarters.)
- Tell the gate guard you are with ASCE. Follow the directions
of the gate guard on where to park. We will meet at the Hensel
Phelps construction trailer main conference room.
Price: Free!
Safety Gear/Attire:
Everyone
must bring their own safety gear.
Those who do not have appropriate safety gear are prohibited from
going on the site walk:
-hardhat
-reflective vest
-OSHA approved safety glasses for indoor wear
(not dark lenses)
-no open-toed shoes, no high heels, no shorts, and
no sneakers.
